Gastroenterology

The gastroenterology department performs evaluation and treatment of problems of the esophagus, stomach, intestine, colon and liver.

Services Include:

• Evaluation of all aspects of digestive disease.
• Esophagus:
  • Heartburn.
  • Difficulty swallowing.
  • Hiatus hernia.
  • Barrett's esophagus.
  • Evaluation for cancer of the esophagus.
  • Treatment of esophageal structures.
• Stomach:
  • Ulcers.
  • Infection (H. pylori).
  • Cancer evaluation.
• Liver:
  • Hepatitis.
  • Cirrhosis.
• Colon:
  • Colitis.
  • Crohn’s disease.
  • Polyps.
  • Cancer.

At the Walla Walla Clinic Surgery Center, we perform both upper gastroenterology endoscopy and colonoscopy. We can remove colon polyps and biopsy abnormalities of the intestinal tract.

The Walla Walla Clinic radiology department adds diagnostic functions including abdominal ultrasound, computerized tomography (CT) of the abdomen and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies.
