Role and Responsibilities

  1. Day-to-day supervision of staff, including evaluation of performance and disciplinary action. Participate in interviewing, hiring and evaluation of staff (in coordination with nursing leadership for clinical staff).
  2. Act as a liaison between providers, staff and other Clinic departments striving to meet the objectives of each party. Coordinate with nursing leadership for clinical oversight and ongoing compliance with regulatory mandates.
  3. Development and implementation of daily operations to ensure efficiency, evidence-based care and timely patient access.
  4. Implement clinical workflows to effectively triage, coordinate and transition care between Walk-in Clinic and patient’s primary care provider. Director should be familiar with various Quality/HEDIS metrics and design processes to improve departments’ performance and achieve eligible value-based reimbursement.
  5. Ensure adequate staff coverage on a daily basis; possessing adequate knowledge to provide backup coverage for certain roles as needed.
  6. Develop department budget and monitor for appropriate utilization. Assist in preparing financial analysis to support capital purchases.
  7. Work with providers and staff to promote the growth and development of the practices.
  8. Collaborate and communicate with other department heads to streamline processes and maximize provider efficiency and customer service.
  9. Attend various departmental meetings including at minimum monthly meeting with Providers.
  10. Work with Clinic Administration & assigned providers to adequately respond to patient complaints in a timely manner.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  1. Management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  2. Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
  3. Medical services billing experience.
  4. Ability to manage within a larger corporate context.
  5. Strong problem solving skills, analytical, able to lead with minimal oversight.
  6. Excellent written, verbal and listening skills.

Position Type/Expected Hours to work: Exempt position, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Weekends and evenings if needed
