Description:
Role and Responsibilities: 1. Assisting physician in caring for patients by maintaining an organized and efficient workflow in the office setting. 2. Provide individualized care to clinic patients under the direction of the physician and within scope of practice. 3. Perform interventions as ordered by the physicians and consistent with approved protocols, policies and procedures, and evidence based best practice. 4. Set up and assist the physician with procedures. 5. Assist with scheduling of diagnostic tests, and initiate insurance authorizations. 6. Monitor and understand the technical aspects of all equipment. 7. Maintain accurate and complete documentation and demonstrate Electronic Health Record competency. 8. Provide education to patient and family as directed by the physician. 9. Maintain cleanliness of examination rooms, and ensure rooms are supplied appropriately. 10. Monitor supplies, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and provider schedules. 11. Completion of tasks on a daily basis. 12. Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. 13. Serve as patient advocate. 14. Serve as role model and mentor to other staff and students in the health professions. 15. Other duties as assigned by the Physician, Director, or Clinical Coordinator. Qualifications and Education Requirements: 1. Graduation from a School of Nursing and currently licensed in the State of Washington as an RN, LPN or have completed an MA course and be certified as an MA in the State of Washington. 2. Previous healthcare experience preferred for MAR approval. (Walla Walla Clinic Training program) 2. Current Healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. 3. Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain clinical competency as required for area of assignment. 4. Excellent communication skills to include written and verbal comprehension and expression. 5. Ability to manage a fast-paced work environment. 6. Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards of service excellence and organizational values. 7. Knowledgeable about scope of practice.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 30 pounds and stand long periods of time. Position Type/Expected Hours to work: 30-40 hours a week, some weekends evenings required Other Duties: As assigned |
